About

We are Artisans Canary.
We invite you all to come in and share the fun. We love to create and we have fun doing so. One of the many ways we like to express ourselves is through COLOR and utilizing it in a manner many of us have forgotten about.
Remember when we were just young persons between the ages of three and seven and were handed a brand new coloring book and a brand new box with bunch of different color crayons or something similar, how many of you stayed within the lines of the line arts in the books and how many did not care at all about the lines and just had fun scribbling everywhere?
Did you have fun doing that?
Did you ever go back and fill the line art in to complete the pictures? How about drawing on the walls, or taking your favorite crayon to school so you could show everyone how you learned to do a new trick with your new magic stick, or draw hopscotch squares or even tag as many public items as you could before being caught, giggles?
We here at Artisans Canary have re-invented ourselves and have gone back to explore our wonders in the areas of COLOR . We encourage our artisans to expand their horizons with their imagination using creativity and incorporating as many vividly enriching vibrant color artistic endeavors as humanly possible, {wheeeeeeeeew said that in one long breath} hence why you will see through out our site, the many beautiful colors in not only the typing but in the many forms of media at our disposal!
Although these may seem like the colors of the rainbow to some, yes they are but was not the intent by which we display them, they are however the many colors that come in those boxes of crayons, paint tubes, paint sets, felt pens, markers and so many more medias.

                                Which is your favorite color?

We hope you will enjoy your experience and we encourage you to give us feed back of our site as you go from page to page and visit all that we have to offer!

                                                   OUR GOAL:

Artisans Canary is a multi-level company set up to preserve the older fashioned as well as integrated with the newer ways of doing things.

                                             HAND MADE SOAP:

Have you ever seen the hit TV show back in the sixties called The Beverly Hill Billies, remember when Granny would have Jethro and occasionally Ellie Mae set up the old kettle by the cement pond so’s she kin makes her soap bars? Once in a while you would see cakes of fat floating in the big vat?
Believe it or not that was very similar to how handmade soap was made as near back as near as the 1400’s to 1900’s.
Well many innovations have taken place and although we here at Artisans Canary still follow the basic rules from the older fashioned ways of making soaps, have integrated many of the newer ways or better said innovative ways of creating recipe’s otherwise known as in the old ways of description {concoctions}!

                                                   LAPIDARY:

Hmmmmmmm, yes, Oh yessssssss, shining rocks. I’ll wager that in too many circumstances you have at one time or another walked through the shores of a lake, stream, brook, or even a river perhaps even waddled in the pool of a waterfall? Ever slip and end up in the “drink”? Maybe you picked up a few stones to “skip” over the lakes edge, or just thrown a few rocks into the water out of boredom?

Many of these stones, rocks, or boulders you really did not care for, for one reason or another were probably in reality a really great find to a person in lapidary { A person who cuts, polishes, or engraves Rocks, Stones or Rough}. Don’t know what rough is? Have you ever heard of someone, an object or a rock being a “diamond in the rough”?  “The phrase “diamond in the rough” is another way of saying.  When a diamond is extracted from the mines it looks like a very dirty, grimy but glassy stone/rock.  It is only when it has been cleaned, cut and polished that it acquires a shine, sparkle and brilliance and is considered to be of a higher value.

When this is applied to a person it is saying that the person has some or a great potential but they are rough and unpolished and with a little or more hard work the true potential of the person soon will be discovered.

On a personal note “a diamond in the rough” may also refer to someone who is genuine and valuable inside but is rough around the edges so to speak.
